Lately AI – Work faster and smarter

The integration of AI tools in digital marketing strategies is quickly becoming the norm in the industry. With the shift towards data-driven decision-making, AI tools can churn through vast amounts of information and provide actionable insights. I have experienced this in very different ways over the past 12 months.

AI also offers the ability to automate repetitive tasks. Therefore freeing up my time to focus on strategic social listening, social media campaign strategies and other creative tasks. My most recent interns have arrived with the skills to use AI tools as if it is normal. AI tools are not going away any time soon.

Work faster and smarter

Let me introduce to you Lately AI. It is a generative AI tool that allows me to work faster and smarter. I have been using it for the past 12 months or so.

What are the benefits?

  • From text it generates social media posts.
  • From audio it creates transcripts and social posts with matching audio grams.
  • From video it makes a transcript and posts with matching video clips.
What type of content do you want the AI tool to create?

My TOP 5 insights about Lately AI

  • Feed it with articles and social media posts so it learns from your content. I am doing this with Lately AI as an enterprise connection, and it is very cool indeed.
  • Lately AI connects to enterprise tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Sprinklr and Hootsuite.
  • Data remains private, so its not like Chat GPT for example. Chat GPT uses data included in prompts and questions to improve its ability to answer future queries from other people – but you know that already right?
  • It can be used for employee advocacy as well and has a video auto-generator to make smaller social media videos from larger files. This helps with creating employee advocacy content as well as for other social media purposes.
  • The tool supports multiple languages like … English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, German and more.

Social media posts generated by Lately AI now are now waiting for me to review (right). They are based on two of my existing blog posts plus a draft created by Lately AI (listed on the left)

I am going to show how it integrates with Hootsuite. There are two ways to do it depending on the scale or set up you need:

  • Firstly it can be connected via an enterprise plan. Similar also for Sprinklr. I have managed a Sprinklr enterprise connection to Lately AI and it is easy to do.
  • Secondly, you can add lately AI as an app within Hootsuite. This option is a good cost effective option if you are not a large enterprise. My video demonstration is based on this option.

With all these benefits, it’s clear that incorporating an AI tool like this one with digital marketing not only provides a competitive edge of speed of asset delivery of but also helps to create posts that can out-perform old style human written social media posts.

Not all AI tools are being accepted as safe by IT departments

Are you struggling with a loud chorus of internal requests for generative AI tools? Are you cautious about the privacy and IT security aspects of the choices of tools available to you? Worried that staff might enter confidential information into Chat GPT and it be used to subsequently by it.

Data analysis

I have to say I love using Lately AI. It is a very interesting proposition for companies who have opted against Chat GPT type tools, but still value the plentiful benefits that generative AI can provide towards their digital marketing tool capabilities. There are other tools out there. I have also been using Hootsuite’s very own Owly writer AI tool since it was launched. I also use Missinglettr for its very strong campaign scheduling. So do look around before making your choice. Each tool has different strengths.
